Apollo Plastics focuses on their customers’ requirements, taking their ideas and bringing them to life. We focus on aesthetics, functionality and the ability to manufacture parts cost effectively and to specification. Whether you have a basic idea or are seeking an alternative manufacturer for an item already in production, we will work with you to ensure cost effectiveness and that it is totally fit for purpose.
We can discuss initial tooling and create a basic prototype pattern tool. Production tooling is not produced until prototypes have been accepted. All tools are handmade to customer drawings to achieve the correct tolerance. The manufactured parts are CNC trimmed for reliability and accuracy. This gives a much greater degree of control over quality control and lead times, as well as keeping costs low.
Apollo Plastics have the capacity and experience to offer low, medium and high volume batch production, along with very large-format assemblies that meet your requirements. In addition we can further give support to your production with additional assembly opportunities. Plastic vacuum forming offers a cost-effective alternative to injection moulding, which often involves a significant investment in tooling.
Vacuum forming or thermoforming are terms used to define the manufacturing process in which a plastic sheet is heated to a defined temperature, the tool is introduced to this heated sheet and then by using vacuum and compressed air, the sheet and tool meet resulting in a three dimensional moulded shape.
